The Alpharetta City Center restaurant joins the Ponce City Market location
The second location of a popular Indian street food eatery is now open in Alpharetta.
Both are from chef Meherwan Irani, a James Beard Award semifinalist who also owns Chai Pani in Decatur, as well as Buxton Hall Barbecue and a Chai Pani in Asheville. A third Botiwalla is planned for Charlotte.
The Alpharetta Botiwalla’s is very similar to the Ponce location, with dishes including Chicken Tikka Rolls, Tandoori Veggie Kabobs and Masala Tri Tip Roll.
Minor menu changes include Corn Bhel being replaced by Bhel Puri and the addition of the Crispy Fish Roll made with crispy fish seasoned with cumin, lime, chilli powder, ginger and garlic, wrapped in buttered naan with desi slaw, onions, cilantro and chutney and served with raita.
Also specific to the Alpharetta location is architecture and decor “similar to the Irani cafes Botiwalla is inspired by,” according to a press release. You’ll see Victorian-inspired design elments, knick knacks and color.
Irani also has plans to start offering more Parsi specials at both locations in the coming months.
Botiwalla Alpharetta is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
